palimpsest

Palimpsest (“scraped again” Greek), the painting over of an older image that none-the-less shows through in places, is here used to describe the process of reincarnation. A life is lived, then another, but the previous life “shows through” and affects the later one.  This show depicts three lives, connected by repeating images that are vaguely visible beneath the surface layer of each piece.
